Senior Consultant

Have you graduated and you're now looking for a long term, well paid position? Are you interested in business, with a flair for sales and making money? Have you ever considered a career in recruitment consultancy?

The Role:-

Recruitment Consultancy is a fast paced and exceptionally varied position. You start your career in recruitment as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant. You'll receive comprehensive training on the 360 degree lifecycle of recruitment and the industry in which you'll recruit into. Everything from building relationships with your clients, how to conduct presentations, through to how to interview and assess candidates.

The role is best looked at as a business within a business. You will be trained on the Hedge Fund industry and sector and become an expert. You would develop your business (or your desk as it's known in recruitment), by building relationships with businesses, finding out exactly what kind of professional they recruit, what skill sets they require, what the company culture's like and so on. You may arrange to meet with your clients and gain an in depth understanding of their business. You may well find yourself on business meetings up and down the country, or on the same street as where you work!

Once you've gained a thorough understanding of the needs of your client you would negotiate the costs involved and then find candidates for the positions you have available.

You would find candidates through various sources and again, you could find yourself telephone interviewing a middle management professional one day, and interviewing a Chief Executive in a city centre coffee shop the next! Recruitment is extremely fast paced and varied and it really is the case that no two days are the same.
